President Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump has included four Arab countries on a list of new tariff rates, which are due to take effect from August 1.
A 30 percent tariff will be imposed on Iraq, Algeria, and Libya, while Tunisia will face a 25 percent tariff.
The new list was released after Trump warned of a 25 percent tariff on goods from several countries, including Japan and South Korea, starting August 1.
The warnings also included 25 percent tariffs on Malaysia and Kazakhstan, 30 percent on South Africa and 40 percent on Laos and Myanmar.
Trump has given all countries a 90-day grace period during which he will reduce tariffs to 10 percent to allow time for negotiations. However, many countries failed to reach agreements with the US administration.
Trump is expected to target another 12 countries this week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has said.
